The wisent is the Europese relative of the America bison that with its impressive and powerfull body inspires to be painted. The european bison was almost extinct due to loss of nature and overhunting but now can be admired again in several wildlife parks in Europe. In the dunes near Haarlem I saw this bull scratching his face with his leg.
